Its unassuming front doesn’t do this panoramic gem justice. In line with the region’s feel, this self-catering retreat takes full advantage of its great connection with the outdoors. Every balcony comes with a view of forest, beach and sea. While taking a dip in the infinity pool at first light every morning, I couldn’t help but feel overcome with a sense of serenity; unlike the rush to the breakfast buffet at resorts down the coast.
Besides subtle notes of luxury and views unalike anywhere else in Rainbow Beach, the resort is eco-certified and within walking distance to all points of interest [15 minutes to town and the beach, 5 minutes to Carlo Sandblow]. Fraser Island is always in sight and, just in case the weather does turn in, wifi and cable tv are there to assist those without books.
Rates for 1-3 bedroom apartments and penthouses range from $189 AUD to $420 AUD, depending on the room and season. Lovely owners happily arrange getaway packages and tours. Click here to learn more and book your stay.
Basing my adventures out of the Rainbow Ocean Palms Resort was a marvellous decision. The resort invites a sense of calm and celebrates nature, two aspects I highly value. Don’t come for the wifi, come for the views.
